Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Mazda b3000 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My truck is missing and the dianostics says its cylinder #1. At night when you rev the motor you can see electrity pulsing through the wires and at the spark plugs.I changed the spark plugs and wires, checked compression on cylinders, and changed the fuel filter.
Do you have any suggestions?

Hi mattro420,

Thank you for the donation.

After replacement of the spark plugs and wires, did you recheck the trouble codes? Is it the same?
Are the spark plugs of the correct specifications?
Are the spark plug wires OEM or after market?
Are the jumping sparks from only 1 cylinder or more than 1?

All spark plugs are to specs and gaped.
I replaced the wires and it still was missing.
The wires aren't sparking but you can see electricty going through the wires and down at the spark plug boots. This is the 3rd set of wires and it seems to be burning them up.

Something is causing the high resistance and it could be lean fuel. Did you chack/test the fuel injectors and fuel pressure?
