1998 Mazda B3000 Not even turning over

My truck was recently taken out to an open field,
my friend and I did a couple donuts but he messed up once and spun into a mudhole,
as soon as the truck hit the mudhole it shut off, the water was not even up past the tires, the truck does not even turn over now all spark plugs were changed and when you turn the key over all it does is errr.
was wondering if it could be the starter or possiblly the distributor got wet idk I need some help?

Ive just experienced something similar I went through a mud bog in my ford pickup and it died instantly an wouldnt turn over mine turned out to be the starter I think its either your starter or a starter wire has a short to ground or the mud or water shorted out your starter solenoid.
