I HAVE 5 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION. IT HAS TROUBLE GETTING INTO GEAR SOMETIMES I HAVE TO FORSE IT AND OTHER TIMES IT MOVES INTO GEAR FREELY. THE ONLY TIME I HEAR GRINDING IS WHEN I TRY TO MOVE IT INTO REVERSE. ALSO HAS LACK OF POWER WHEN IN 5TH GEAR WHEN SPEED DROPS BELOW 50 MILES AN HR. IM WONDERING WHAT I NEED TO FIX THESE THINGS AND IF ITS SOMETHING THAT I CAN GET BY WITHOUT FIXING FOR A SHORT TIME.

Hi there,

i would first be checking the clutch hydraulic system for leaks and faults, if it is as you say lacking power in top gear, your clutch may well be worn out and is due for replacement. There will be nothing that you can do to prolong the clutch much longer if this is the case.
