1993 Mazda b2200 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 120xxx miles

93 b2200 F.I. trucks starts and idles rough tester shows alt.is putting out 0 volts then after reving jumps to 16 and dies, will rev like crazy with alt.disconnected.Sat for 5 years, replaced Gas tank and pump, plugs, wires, cap and rotor.Cleaned, checked and even added grounds.Checked Fuses and wiring front to back and nothing is burnt or broken.Did notice that idiot lights in cluster quit working.Have a running donor truck I've been swapping parts with such as alt.witch tests good on donor and is internaly regulated.Ecu,coil and several random relays.

The cluster issue will be the problem. The alt is reading system voltage through the ign, by thecluster/dash not working thealt is going full field (16 volts) simply because it doesnt know how much to charge.Try swapping ign switchs. Here is a diagram of the circuit

If the dash doesnt light up (warning lights) then you have lost apower feed somewhere. Check the fuse block to see if there is power at everything when key is on
