1990 Mazda B2200 carburator issues

The choke does not turn off, the flap stays closed and revs really high about 3000 rpm at idol. After I turn off the Engine for a while about 10 minutes, restart then the choke might turn off. Is there anything to calibrate the choke or a carb rebuild is in order

Hi there,

It just bay be a bit bindy in the choke butterfly pivot, take the air cleaner off and give the linkages a good spray with a lube spray, open the throttle and work the choke to free it up, otherwise you will need to get the carby overhauled, if this has not been done for some time, it may be a good time to have it re coed.
