My truck runs rough, it backfires and stutters on hills and will die, I have changed wires, plugs, air and oil filter, I do not know where fuel filter is, I suspect this may be the issue but I am not a mechanic. What do u think the problem is, also on start up I need to sit in the truck and keep the revs up until it warms up or it will die, pls help

Engine running rough or misfiring can be cause by the following:
1. Defective spark plug.
2. Inadequate spark/coil, defective spark plug wire.
3. Lack of compression
4. False air leakage.
5. Faulty fuel injectors.
6. Insufficient fuel pressure.
7. Contaminated fuel.
8. EGR valve that is leaking.
9. Oxygen sensors.
