I have a 02 Mazda 626. Have found that when the engine is engaged and I am running the air, heat, or just the fan that a sqeaking sound begins. Turning the fan off causes the sqeak to stop. Do I need new belts or compressor or what?[/B]

Check your alternator belt tension. If its loose. Tighten it, if its cracked at all. Replace it. If you replace it, repalce the powersteering belt too.
