1992 Mazda MX-3 GS V6 1.8-Milage=141,000. Hi, I have a question about an engine swap. I want to have changed my 1.8 V6 engine, for the JDM 2.5 V6 engine for my Mazda. I reserched that the JDM 2.5 V6 fits my car, and also is the one that fits the Ford Probe V6 and the Mazda 626. I wanted to know if I need anything else to put the engine to run, for example different motor mounts, or ECU's or something like that kind. Thanks guys

You need everything that goes with the V-6. I wonder why the swap, the 4cyl is a much better engine.

YEs you will need to make some changes when going from the 1.8L V6 to the 2.5L V6. The first and obvious is the intake. You will need to change the intake from the 1.8L onto the 2.5L. Don't worry there will still be a very good power gain in the motor. Changing the intake is the first of your worries. I think you may have some exhaust manifold issues too and make sure you have the correct egr valve on before installing the engine.
