98 Mazda 626 problem

Hello,

I am having a 98 Mazda 626 car and it has 15000 miles on it.
It has couple of minor problems.

One is that my audio player does not play. It is not the fuse coz, I see the power coming onto it, and I see that it changes the tracks while the CD is playing, but there is no output to the speakers. Basically nothing is heard.

Secondly the lights of the odometer does not go on.

Kindly guide as to what could be the problem.
