1999 Mazda 626 Automatic 116000 miles

We had the transmission replaced. Car then would rev up to high rpm but wouldn't accelerate. Took it back to get fixed and said needed a transmission cooler. Took it back out on road and it had the same problem: high rpm but wouldn't accelerate past 40 mph. Now the problem, they say, is the torque needs to be replaced. After it gets fixed this time, is there anything we can do to see that all THEIR work has been done? Any diagnostic test?

I havnt heard of a good tranny shop NOT rep[lacing the torque converter with the tranny, it holds half the fluid in the tranny, and if the old one is left in the new tranny, it will contaminate it with metal or cluth paticles from the old disaster.I would tell them to replace both, or at the very least, perform a total flush, and give an extended warranty on it.
