Transmission problem
1999 Mazda 626 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 65,000 miles

I'm getting a fair amount of work done on my Mazda, and I'm hoping the car will last for another 40,000 miles at least.

The repairs include:
Valve cover gaskets-banks 1&2
Power steering pump and hose
2 drive belts
Oil service
Fuel filter
Wash engine
2 wiper blades

How long do these cars usually last? It seems that 65,000 miles isn't a ton of mileage for so many things to need repairing. What is the average mileage for cars of this year before they're usually replaced?

Wow, I know a person with a ford for that matter with almost 400,000 miles on it. Original engine and transmission. With no forseeable quitting in the future. So it can vary. You have a long way to go. Just take care of it. Most importantly oil changes
