My car idles either way too low, so it dies, or way too high so it shifts very roughly or jerks in to gear. I have replaced the MAF sensor and the O2 sensor. Recently it started having issues shifting from one gear to the next, like the tranny was slipping but the fluid level is adequate. If I am driving and I put it in park and then try to put it back in gear the tranny does not catch and I have to sit for a while before it will run normal. I have been told that I may need an Idle Air Control Valve and was curious if that was true, as it is a very expensive part. Thanks.
