I purchased a 12 V, 10 amp auto heater for my car to provide additional heat in the winter. The first time I plugged it into my cigarette lighter, it worked for about 2 minutes then quit. I thought it was the heater but tried my cell phone charger and it did not work either. I assumed a fuse had blown but went to the fuse box under the drivers side dash, pulled every fuse and they all were fine. What else could possibly be the problem? All other systems in my car appear to be working fine except the light in the ashtray & cigarette lighter. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
