1996 Mazda 626 od off light flashes

I have a 1996 mazda 626 when driving on the express way or driving for awhile without stopping the od off light turns on and stays flashing. This is the second trasnsmission on this car, the same thing happen to the first trasnmission. Forgot to mention after it cools down the light turns off.

This sounds like a faulty sensor to me. Only way you can really tell is to have a trusted transmission shop do a diagnostic on it though. I know that my car had this happen once and then after the OD light did that, it started shifting weird. Replaced a $30 sensor and all problems subsided.
