1996 Mazda 626

When I drive my car for about 20 minutes or more the o/d off light on the dash board begins blinking then my car will begin to jerk. Sometimes it slows down on its own although my feet is still on the gas. Then when I press the gas harder the rpm needele will go to about 5 or 6 before the actually kicks into gear.

Hi covergirl,

Something is wrong with the trans. Scan for the fault code and see what is wrong.

I would advise getting it solved asap, delay might cause more damages if this is a small and easy fix.
