So about a month ago my battery died out of no where. I got a friend to give me a jump, but a few days later the car died again. I figured it was probaly the battery so I just went out and got a new one. After putting the new one in, the car died two or three days later. In the time between me putting the new battery in and it dying, the charge battery light was on. I now find myself having to unplug the battery every time I get out of the car, whether it's for 5 minutes or a few hours. I guessing it's the alternator, becuase the charge battery light is always on when I stop the car, but not completely sure. If I don't jump it or put it on the expressway for about 30 minutes every few days it won't start. What could it be?

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

If the charge light has been on all this time, the alternator is faulty and not charging the battery, have the charge rate checked, and if low or no charge at all, start with the alternator.
