Electrical problem
1995 Mazda 626 4 cyl Automatic 150000 miles

Hi,
Thanks in advance. I got a problem few months back. It stopped in parking lot and didn't click. Mechanic found it was a distributor problem and He changed it. From then it started to show problem. It runs fine if there is no traffic signals. If I stop at red signal for a while, It runs fine at idle position. But if I want to move it after green signal. It stops and shows battery signal in dash board. It starts again if I click it again immediately. But it is kind of annoying. That mechanic checked idle of distributor is fine. Would you suggest me the solution? Thanks.

If the check engine light is on, check for codes, also with high mileage, check fuel pressure, and check for vacuum leaks. You may have a vacuum leak, get a can of spray Throttle body cleaner, spray the vac lines and maniflod area, when the idle changes, youve found the leak! You want the engine running and spray on the outside but do direct the stream onto the hoses, if it is a vacuum leak, the engine idle will change speed, then you have detected a leak, repair the vacuum leak and see how it runs! Keep spray away from hot exhaust, fire hazard.
