1995 Mazda 626 4 cyl Automatic 126000 miles

Alright, I just bought a used mazda 626 lx for close to nothing from a friend. Because of the price I didn't expect it to be problem free but here's what I've noticed is wrong. I think I may need a new alternator. When I first got the car my dad decided to go check to make sure everything works and ended up leaving the high beams on draining the battery. We trickle charged it overnight and the car starts up fine but the charge battery light hasn't gone off at all. Also when the car gets under 1000 rpms it starts shaking. Over 1000 it is fine however. The only other thing I've noticed is that it pulls a bit to the right when the transmission is shifting. Any ideas what may be wrong?

The pull is called torque steer, new tires and an alignment could help. Test alternator as shown by clicking on link!
