Hi, I am old school im mechanics, and am wandering how to check the diagnostic codes on my 1994 Mazda Lx Auto-4cyl car. And also how to reset it after doing the repair? I have found out that it requires OBD1 and to use the diagnostic box on the engine driver side, but am not sure if im doing it right. I have only a B+by the ten pin, which the 10 slot is empty, so I used the B+, and connected to ground. Turning the key on, I only got beeps and not a flashing engine light for the codes. So im assuming the 5, five short beeps(25) is the code, which tells me it's my fuel pressure regulator according to the code list. Don't know if that is right or not. Any suggestions appreiciated.

You cannot retrieve codes on this vehicle without a professional scan tool. I also suggest you stop getting creative with jumping wires or you'll be replacing the computer soon. You also want to be aware that having a code stored referring to a specific component DOES NOT mean that component is bad. It's merely telling you something specific about that circuit that needs to be troubleshooted further.

Thank you, and I believe that I have already done the electrical ECU damage. I had it running and Idled it down, but now I have no dash lights, no temp, etc. Still getting the beeps. It won't even go in gear. If it is the ECU, would you know where I could get a low priced used one? I know they are expensive.

I wouldn't advise a used one. There are a bunch of places that repair them.
Here is one of them
