Driver door will not open with handle from outside or inside

Key will not open or key fob. Tried wd 40, other doors open fine. Thought it might be frozen tried deicer, hot water and wd40, believe it to be actuator or spring but can't remove panel from inside. Help 70 year old driver with arthritis. Thanks for your reply.

You are probably correct that the rod came off on the inside of the door. Here is a guide that will help get the panel off so that we can get in there and see what is happening:

Once we are in, we need to look at the attachment and make sure the latch is moving when you operate the handle. If not, then we need to remove it and lubricate it or replace it. Let me know what questions you have and we can go from there. Thanks
