Steering problem
2005 Mazda 6 6 cyl Automatic 130, 00 miles

my steering wheel gets really hard when i'am trying to turn either way. But the fluid level is fine. And if I put it on park and hit the gas a lil the wheel loosens up. Do I need to change the p/s pump?

Hi there, if the belt is ok and the oil is ok, I feel it will be a faulty pump.

Hi.I have one more question. My friend is a mechanic and he said my car takes transmission oil instead of power steering fluid because is a mazda and its a newer model. And the problem is that my brother drained it and filled it with power steering fluid. Does this sound ok or maybe he doesn't know what he's talking about?

Thanks for your help!
