I recently removed the cd player in my wife's mazda 6 to take out all of the old xm wiring (fm modulator) wiring. After I put it back together, the led display on the dash and the cd player do not work correctly. The cd player keeps making a clicking noise, and if a cd is inserted, it spits out when I try to turn up the volume. No buttons on the led display work, but it does light up and show the time. The heating controls work but the temp that and where the heat is going is not being displayed on the led display like it should. Does this sound like wiring or the circuit board that is by the cd player where the wires go to?

I took out all the wiring harnesses and re-plugged them back in. There are no harnesses loose, and there isn't any way to connect them in the wrong spots, I also made sure that they were all tight.

Hi mazdanewb,

Sorry I might have misread your question, as I thought you had replaced the player.

Check for a loose ground wire.
