I have a 2003 Mazda 6 V6 stick shift. For about 4-months now, almost every time I crank up the car, the rpms go up and down quickly at around 1000-1300 rpm. In addition to this, the TCS OFF Warning Light and Traction Warning Light light up. I took the car in and got the codes checked and there were a couple dealing with the throttle body. Would it be possible that the throttle body needs just to be cleaned? Im hoping I dont have to replace the whole throttle body?
Also, while it is doing this issue, I cannot get above 30mph. I can change the gears from 1-5 fine, but will not go very fast.
If I floor the gas pedal, I can only get up to about 3000 rpm.
Also, for awhile, I could fix the issue by just recranking the car. Now it takes multiple cranks (many) and sometimes it depends on if the AC is on. However, now I cant get it to crank back normal anymore.
Please help!
