Engine Performance problem
2007 Mazda 3 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 41K miles

I HAVE AN 07 MAZDA 3. 4 CYL 2.0L AND IT IS ALL STOCK. I AM TRYING TO MAKE IT SOUND LOUDER AND HAVE THOUGHT OF DOING A MUFFLER DELETE ON IT AND PUTTING IN A STRAIGHT PIPE INSTEAD. WOULD THIS BE A GOOD IDEA? WHY OR WHY NOT? PLZZ HELP.

Well with no muffler it would definitely be louder. Your engine light will most likely light up and stay on forever after this due to the sensitive emission systems in new vehicles these days. You may also experience slightly worse fuel mileage as well. You can get professional performance exhaust systems installed which will include an exhaust yet still give you the great rumble you want to hear. Much better on the environment but a little harder on your wallet
