I recently purchased a cold air intake system. I have a 40 series flowmaster already installed and thought it would complement if the cai was installed. It didn't come with a high-performance mass air flow sensor and the factory one is causing bank lead and cylinder misfire codes. I removed the cai immediately and I wondered if it is the MAF sensor holding up this upgrade? I appreciate your info thoroughly.

I would install a new MAF sensor with the cold air intake upgrade. This should take care of the problem. Also, make sure there are no leaks in the system. Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.

Sounds like a plan. And to make sure I'm understanding right you recommend a high performance MAF correct or a new factory one? Which high performance do you recommend if it is that?

If the CAI is the only aftermarket part I would use the factory replacement.
