I replaced the air intake on my vehicle. It was cheaper to do an aftermarket system on it so it has what my friend referred to as 'ram air'. What has happened is my mass air flow sensor has stopped working and causing a lean in all six cylinders. It is the LX model. Would replacing the MAF fix it or am I put the $200.00 for the OEM intake system? And is lean that bad?

Lean is bad? Of course it will detonate and pre ignite the pistons or both If you continue. Why did you put on new system? And are there any holes in duct work leading to engine as that will cause lean as well. You can try a new MAF as it maybe went bad. MAF's are self cleaning. Or you might try a shield around new filter to slow air coming in might fix it.

No holes. The old air filter was cracked in most places.
