Pretty much most of these VWs and Audis have same issue of this message. Some I am aware of are due to engine parts clearance, others are oil and filter while others the sensor. How many volts should I get at the sensor with ignition on and engine off? And how much should I get for oil pressure when cold idling and then at 2,000 RPMs?

Hi,

Have you checked for diagnostic trouble codes? Also, they don't provide us with the specific voltages for testing. Instead, it requires a specific fuel pressure gauge.

As far as a power signal voltage is concerned, I would suspect it to be 5v.

I attached the directions below for testing. Take a look and let me know if you are comfortable performing them.

Let me know.

Joe

Hi,

Absolutely, if you have oil in the connector, that indicates the sensor is leaking inward which lowers oil pressure.

Let me know if it takes care of the issue. I am somewhat confident it will.

Take care,

Joe
