Firstly, this is for a 2014 Mercedes Cla 45 amg not a 250 (the 45 wasn't available in drop down but they are a similar car/engine).

Initially I had a check engine light on for a clogged crankcase vent valve (which I initially read was under the front driver side axle). So, since I was removing the axle to access that vent valve, I decided to replace the axle, control arm, suspension stabilizer bar, and tie rod end while I was in there. I ended up figuring out the vent valve wasn’t down there but figured out where it was and replaced it. I also removed the old downpipe/cat and replaced that with a new one including two new 02 sensors. I also removed the radiator to allow more room to work and ended up replacing that as well since I had it out and it was the original one. During that time I also took the bumper off to access the radiator hoses and such.
Got it all back together and started to drive down the driveway and the Fail Safe warning lights came on with all kinds of codes and it wouldn’t go into any gear. I have a Foxwell OBD reader so, after accessing the initial codes, it seemed to possibly be the wheel speed sensor was acting up so, I just installed a new one of those but the same thing happened after reassembly.
These are my current codes and mind you, I did not have anything wrong with this besides the code for the vent valve being clogged. Codes have been cleared multiple times and battery has been unhooked multiple different times during all of this as well.

Yep, this happens when a ground has been left off or one the electrical junction connectors is not fully engaged, which was disconnected during the repairs, since you were in several different places I would go back over you work to see if you can fined where the problem is. This is very common after many repairs have been done, thanks for your detailed question, please let me know what you find, clear the codes again once anything is found.

Thanks Ken, at the moment the codes are staying erased but the Fail Safe still pops up and doesn't let the vehicle move in any gear. I am getting some mechanical noise from the axle that I replaced now. Could this sound come from that C clip on the end of the axle not being seated properly in there? (Video attached)
Thanks

Yep the axle wasn't seated anymore, may have pulled it out when I was trying to get the ball joint back seated. Everything seems to be OK after a couple of drives except it appears to be leaking some diff fluid. How would that be leaking at that spot? I didn't add any either.

Diff fluid will leak if the axle seal got torn during the repair, it will need to be replaced.

Just wanted to give a quick update (after the wrong size seal was sent initially), got the correct seal and everything is back up and running/working as it should. Thanks for your help on this issue!
