After doing a quick thermostat change I lost the speedometer, fuel gauge, tachometer, and temperature gauge. Battery and oil gauges still work. The odometer numbers and PRND321 are not illuminated anymore. All that from just a thermostat change. Any ideas on what to try next? Also, no blown fuses. Any help appreciated.

Good afternoon,

There is no connection for this failure to the thermostat change.

The only thing I can think of is the ground wire. Was there a ground wire on one of the housing mounting bolts?

As far as the dash, you will need to verify power to the back of the cluster. Make sure the connector is clean and tight.

I might add that I also had to remove the throttle unit and brackets to get to the back bolt for the thermostat. There are no ground wires, cluster connector is clean and tight. There certainly is power going to the panel because I have only lost certain gauges. I am totally baffled. I have done dozens of thermostat changes and never had this happen. Coincidence that something let go at the same time? Maybe but frustrating none the less.

Did you verify all the fuses in the power and ground diagram I sent for power on both sides?
