Have it scanned for codes to see what code comes up pulling battery cable does nothing. A scanner has to reset codes.

Error codes.
Po113 intake air temperature sensor circuit high input
Po700 tcm malfunction
P1781 engine torque circuit
Po700 transaxle control malfunction
Took it to man cleared codes said it is in limp mode. But drove it home with hole in radiator hose would that give a code and put Hi t in limp mode again?

The P0700 code is your problem there is either a wiring issue from tcm to transmission or something wrong with trans. See pic and check for connections not made and or not together tight due to engine work done on car that may be your problem then either have the mechanic reset computer for free or auto parts can do it not sure if they will.
