So I had a lose of power I had codes 32 38 54 on my truck. I checked all my wiring circuits, fuses, relays, EGR solenoids, all my grounds. I have my truck bed off friend fuel pump everything was working. Ended up being a plugged catalytic converter. Is there a reason catalytic converter melted?

Hello,

Catalytic converters can get damaged over time by things like getting knocked around or getting too hot, and sometimes they will deteriate with age. But when they get plugged, as you know, there is no place for the exhaust to go and you will have a major heat event and choke out your engine. I have included a link for you to go to down below. Let us know if there is anything else that we can help you with.
