Yes, there are 7 coolant temperature sensors, the main sensor is located in the block just behind the throttle body. The next coolant sensor is for the coolant control valve which sends feedback for the coolant flow. The next two coolant sensors are for the coolant heater, both inlet and outlet. The next sensor is for the HVAC heater system which monitors the coolant temperature of the heater core. There is also a coolant sensor in the radiator to help control the cooling fans. Finally, there is a coolant temperature sensor for the water pump outlet to help keep track of the pump and thermostat efficiency. Here are all of the sensor locations and how to change them out.
