Installed a rebuilt long block and can not get engine to crank, wondering if it has to deal with the computer and if so how do you reset?

Check the battery voltage. Check the main power connection and the solenoid connection at the starter. Make sure the block and starter are clean. Make sure the ground cables are properly connected. It should have nothing to do with the computer.
