Have been having issues with back TPMS sensors losing connection for a few years. They usually would work fine for about 30 minutes of driving then one or both of the rear tire sensors would have a problem. Recently I had new tires put on and the transmitters all replaced. The tire shop could only get the rear tires to connect when the tires were near the front of the van. They said my TPMS receiver was most likely the cause. I would like to replace it but have no idea where it is located.

While it could be that the receiver has problems I have a few questions. The receiver is located under the top dash pad and is also the same one that the remote door lock and remote start options use. If you have either of those, do they still work from a distance like they used to? Do you have any form of dash pad on the dash? Tinted windows? Just looking to see if something external might be blocking the signal. If not, applicable you need to remove most of the dash trim to get to the module. Both of the knees bolsters are removed then the IP cluster trim panel and then the upper trim panel. The RKE module is located under that panel up close under the windshield. The physical replacement is to remove those panels and swap the module, then reverse the process. But you cannot just plug it in. You need to use a scan tool to pull the TPMS data from the current part, then install the new replacement and program it with that info during the programming steps. The last image has that process. Or as you have only a part of the data you could simply install the new module and then use the scan tool to program in the FOBs and the TPMS sensors.

The TPMS module is still there. The remote items are just not active.
