Where is the torque converter clutch solenoid located?

The torque converter clutch solenoid will not cause this problem, I think you are looking for the #1 control solenoid. Also, when you put the car in drive does the gear selector for that gear light up? If not, this can be he problem as well. If so, I would check the fuses in if okay replace the shift lever position switch. Check out the images (below).
