Location of Fuel filter

So far I replaced the fuel rail, fuel pump, fuel injectors, and fuel pressure damper or (regulator) on my car. While replacing the the fuel rail the fuel was very dirty, I suspect that the filter has to be replaced. I just don't know where it is on the car. I've even called the parts engineer at the dealership and said that they don't know exactly where. Can someone here provide me with straight answers so I can resolve this issue Please, Thank you

Good morning,

The filter is part of the fuel pump itself and is not serviceable. The entire fuel pump module would have to be replaced.

What concerns me is the dirt you found. I would suggest removing the tank and having it flushed out of all dirt and debris to prevent further failure.

1. Level the vehicle.
2. Complete the "before repair procedure". (See before repair procedure.)
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
4. Remove the fuel pump unit.
5. Siphon the fuel from the fuel tank.
6. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
8. Complete the "after repair procedure". (See after repair procedure.)
