Getting water in front passenger floor when running A/C. Hear s sloshing sound when turning the water comes down. Have made sure the hose and drain plug behind drivers side floor panel next to gas paddle is clear. No water from tube and water flows freely down through that plug.

Seen videos and articles on GM vehicles having a drain pipe/tube in engine compartment next to firewall that could be plugged, but am unable to find it. Have tried looking behind engine from top and under it. Anyone know where this is at exactly?

Good afternoon,

The actual drain is under the dash and is connected with a hose that goes through the firewall.

I attached a picture for you to view and the procedure for accessing it.

Hi Roy. Yes, have found that already. And verified water drains out the plug. Getting water on passenger side from the blower area. Shouldn't there be another drain to check?

No, there is only one drain.

Is it draining to the outside on the floor? If it is, make sure it is coming out fast enough. It may be partially clogged.

If it is not then the hose is clogged with debris.

Took hose out and verified it is not clogged at all. Leaks still happen.

Okay, then remove the hose again and you will need to probe into the EVAP case. The clog is most likely in the heater case.

A coat hanger. Just be careful and move it around inside to dislodge the debris. If you have compressed air, use it after you loosen the dirt to get it to move and flush out the dirt.

By your name, are you military?
