POWER LOCKS on 1992 Lincoln Town Car wont stop "trying&

No matter whether I use the auto pad, or key in or lock the doors, the power locks constantly grind and push as if trying to lock the door, even when all 4 are locked. It doesnt stop even if the car is off and will go for hours if I let it. The only way to stop is to play with all 4 doors randomly locking/unlocking them. Very annoying, I have seen it 3 other times in these forums. Pleast tell me there is a solution. It happens on all 4 doors no matter how I lock/unlock.

Occassionaly the check trac light will come on while driving my 2000 Lincoln Town Car, 34,300 miles, V8 for no reason. When this light comes on the engine cooling guage will drop to cold and will remain there until the engine is shut off and restarted. Once restarted, the check trac light goes off and heat guage returns to normal. Sometimes this will happen quite frequently, other times will go months before it is activated. Car will run rough sometimes when the check trac light is on, other times, engine will run as if nothing is occuring at all. Wet or dry roads doesn't matter when the check trac light comes on.

Any suggestions?
