Car has 32000 miles and has set a long time. It will start but the idle is slow. Once it is warm, there is no problem starting it. Help

Could be an idle control or speed device that needs to be clean-out and adjust IAW the service manual.

You might want to have the OBD2 scanned for code/s.

The idle speed is controlled by the AIR BYPASS VALVE it is also commonly called an idle air control valve.
Lincolns have quite a few issues with these.
It is on the top rear of the intake plenum....Kind if way back there on a 02..but you can get to it...
Two bolts hold it on and one hose and one wire connector plug into it.
45-80 dollar part. You can give it a couple of pretty hard taps with a small to med hammer.... this will fix many of them...you can also take it off and clean with carb cleaner...

I rapped it and it started idling right. Would love to take it off and clean it good but don't have a gasket and that lower bolt would be Hell.
