I have found a variety of both metric and standard SAE used for some reason. Sometimes it's a real P.I.T.A. Especially on "American" made vehicles !
If you are going to do your repair. Get a "Craftsman" Metric/SAE combo set at Sears usually they are on sale.
Cheap brand names are no good. They strip and round over because of cheap metal and heat treating process during fabrication. Cheap tools could create problems for you, wasted money and holding up your time.
Damaged bolts from cheap junk tools is another story.
Do it right the first time with good "well known" brand name tools.
Good Luck;
Rick
