1993 Lincoln Town Car idles irradically

Hello, my, 93 Town Car (111,000 mi, 51,000 on motor) has an idling problem. It idles roughly and the motor wants to die out at stop. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks, Trent

Have the idle air control valve/throttle position sensor/PCV and EGR valves checked out-also for vacuum leak

Yes Sir-to include an engine that is in badly need of a major tune-up or you can have the IACV and EGR clean out and see what happens The IACV is the component that is suppose to target the idle speed at all times. Could also be a catalytic converter problem etc
