1991 Lincoln Town Car Fuel Filter

Where is the fuel filter located in this car and is it something I can replace? I am looking to replace it because when I accelerate from a stop, there seems to be hesitation and then once it gets going it seems to be fine. I have asked around and was told this is probably the culprit, and I do not remember the last time I changed it.

Ok there is one of two spots it could be. It is either just inside the frame below the drivers seat, or it is on the front of the rear wheel well. Here is what you are looking for. Yes you can do this yourself it isn't hard at all.
