Brakes problem
1990 Lincoln Mark VII V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I replaced a the fuel pump in my 1990 lincoln and the connector broke off on one side connecting to the pump, so I crimped a new connector onto the wire. If my connection were to come lose is it possible for the fuel tank to explode, could those wires ark?Is this dangerous?

Hello
Thanks for the donation.

If you crimped the wires together properly then it is extremely unlikely that it would come loose. However, if the wire that you crimped together is the power wire and it was to come loose and touch any metal then there is a chance that it will spark. An explosion is possible but a fire would be more likley if a spark were to happen. Either way you would not want that to happen obviously.

Thanks for using 2CarPros. Com!
