The engine was shaking 3.9 v8 and usually it's the gas cap but none are currently for sale and the one I got fits but it's not the correct one. This time its spewing codes 1. Cylinder 3 misfire 2. Ignition coil C bad. I also found the hose off that feeds that system and it was pulled apart away from its unit on the driver's fender that feeds the gas tank vacuum needs.
The other thing is a pointed oil leak coming from the front of the motor to the same cylinder.

Hi,

This vehicle has two different possible coil designs. One is each spark plug has its own coil. The other will include two coil towers responsible for four spark plugs each.

If you look below, I attached a pic of what I believe you are looking for.

As far as the misfire codes and coil codes, can you provide them to me so I can get more specifics from my manual?

Also, the EVAP, Fuel Cap, and oil leak are not related to the misfire. That is likely the result of the coil.

Let me know.

Joe

Hi,

That is your EVAP leak. LOL When you reattached it, did the issues resolve?

Hi,

By CH filter, are you referring to the charcoal canister? There shouldn't be oil in that. When you say it's going somewhere, do you mean you have oil consumption? Any blue smoke from the exhaust?

I have one last question. I attached a pic of a coil above. Is that the style you have on this vehicle?

Let me know.

Joe
