1997 Lincoln Continental V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Should front wheel bearings be repacked or replaced & also can shocks be replaced with shocks from a junk yard if they test out ok

Your wheel bearings are contained inside of a "Hub assembly" and are NOT servicable. If the bearings fail, the entire hub must be replaced. (Comes prepacked with grease and seals)

You could use junk yard shocks, but I wouldn't bother. Even if they tested O.K. Off of a car, it's impossible to know how they'll respond on the car and while driving. And who knows how long they'll last?

That's choice is yours.
