I have replaced the alternator/voltage regulator/battery. The battery is not getting current from the alternator, I have checked all fuses and all are good. I have heard about fusible links but I have not been able to find the one for the charging system. I have verified that the alternator is good and have replaced the voltage regulator again. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You

I have an 1989 towncar that had the same problems and repaired all the same things you did with no help so I call my brother (electrical eng.) And with a little help from radio shack the problem fixed. Follow your wiring from the alt you are looking for a resistor inline to the gauge that execites the alt. Mine was in a blue rubber square piece. My manual didn't show mine
good luck
