The current headlight doors operate on a vacum pump canister system that fail to stay closed after a period of time. Replacment of connecting rubber hoses helps, but eventually the problem returns. What type & model of an electonic linear actuator can be installed. Could it be like an equally older Corvette flip type headlight mechanism?

You might want to review a Camaro vacuum operated headlight doors.

Is there an electric door model that can be used instead of a vacum pump canister type?
