Had oil pressure low warning come on, had oil leak, took to garage they said it was the oil filter, apparently they checked for engine damage, said there was non, replaced filter and cleaned out engine. Picked up from garage was in limp mode and engine didn't sound right when accelerated

Hmm, this does not sounds good, if the oil light came on while driving the engine could have suffered internal engine damage which is common when the engine runs out of oil, please upload a short video in your response of the problem, so I can see what's going on for sure. Can I ask if the engine makes a louder noise when first started? If so this is a sign a crankshaft bearing has spun. When it was in the shop the damage could have not been as bad but as you drove it home it got worse.
