I have K1500 and I just tried putting a new harness on the back for the trailer and now I have no cluster lights, no radio lights, no tail lights, no reverse lights, no day time running lights, no cab lights.I can’t figure it out as I’m trying to trailer something home and it’s 1:51 in the morning and I’m still three hours from home. What could it be? Have checked all fuses and everything that I thought it could possibly be.

Hello,

This sounds like you could have a ground problem. A lot of people forget to look at the ground side of an electrical circuit. The power side is only half of the circuit. Check the ground and make sure it is corrosion free, clean, tight, and making good metal to metal contact. I have included a ground distribution diagram for your vehicle in the diagrams down below. Check out Ground #202 behind the Instrument Panel. I have it highlighted on the diagram for you. Get back to us and let us know what you are able to find out, please.

Thanks,
Alex
