1999 Lexus RX 300 not going into 3rd sometimes

Car not going into 3rd. Had tranee flued changed.I cked the leavel and it is way over where it is showing hot and cold on the dipstick.I would drive 65mph for 20min it would be ok till I stoped at light than it will not go into 3rd. Will to much flued and the wrong kind do this.

It is critical the the correct transmission fluid be use as mixing incompatible fluids can cause damage, this transmission this should only use genuine Toyota trans fluid Type T IV (AFT JWS3309 0R NWS 650) There is a TSB dated May21st 1999 that covers transmission oil, I highly recommend that you return the car to the work shop that did the transmission work and ensure that the correct oil is used as if not this may cause serious damage to the transmission.
